The Living Art Pavilion consists of three functions: workshops, exhibitions and teahouse. The north of the Pavilion faces the expressway and a row of Terminalia mantaly is reserved in the north, so that the walls at different heights in the north of the building not only prevent the impact of the northern noise, but also form the good scenery of Terminalia mantaly. The south of the park is the office building 2. Except the functional requirement of the office building and an active atmosphere between the bottom of the commercial and artistic space, building outlines and interface also interact with each other to form a comfortable and pleasant urban public space. The whole building is composed of six unit blocks. Considering the requirement of exhibition space, two units in the middle were merged into larger indoor space. The other unit blocks are workshops and teahouses.
The prototype of Living Art Pavilion learns from the traditional building element: sloping roof and courtyard space. The roof structure of the building adopts concrete rib beam, and the form of rib beam enhances the interior perspective effect of the sloping roof. At the same time, the bare concrete beam retains the wood texture of the pine formwork. The wall and the hole are distributed in the north-south axis of each unit, thus forming a sense of order and a feeling of depth in the east-west direction of interior space. The courtyard space of each adjacent unit is arranged in the south or north. With the change of the height of the wall and the sloping beam, the trees in the courtyard appear indistinctly. In addition, under the Terminalia mantaly, simple white walls and gray concrete tiles set each other off, and are integrated into the natural surroundings.
